Can you give some examples of projects you’ve worked on in these areas?

Since medicine, pharmacology, and psychiatry are among my areas of specialization, I have undertaken numerous translation and interpreting assignments in these fields.

Among the many interpreting assignments, the following stand out: the ‘Autism and Work’ conference, a series of lectures for Italy’s first master’s program on HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) using bioidentical hormones, a neonatology conference for the Milan-Lodi-Monza-Brianza Order of Nursing Professions, the SIEMS 2025 Congress held at Palazzo Lombardia, a course for a Spanish medical representative on medications and supplements in pediatrics, allergology, gastroenterology, and otolaryngology, a course for osteopaths and physical therapists, an interview with a British neurologist on aphantasia, the presentation of a product for breast fissures by Bihotz Mujer at hospitals in Bologna, the IBCLC 2026 conference in Rimini, and many others.

Last but not least, I have also accompanied many patients during their medical visits, serving as an English-Italian and Italian-Spanish medical interpreter; many of them suffer from rare diseases and are forced to seek treatment in English- and Spanish-speaking countries.

One of my greatest sources of satisfaction comes from giving a voice to patients who, with so much sacrifice and dedication, strive to improve their health every day. I admire their willpower, and I am deeply grateful to them every time they turn to me to avail of my services.

These reviews, available on my Google Maps profile, moved me deeply:

“I contacted Eleonora because I needed a medical interpreter for a medical appointment in English. She immediately came across to me as very professional, serious, empathetic person who makes you feel at ease. This was confirmed during the medical appointment that lasted 7 hours. I was in New York at the doctor’s office, and Eleonora performed a remote interpreting service from Italy. I am extremely grateful to her. I will soon need an interpreter again and I have turned to her again.”

“I contacted Eleonora regarding accompanying me to a medical procedure for which I needed an English-Italian medical interpreter in Milan. Eleonora was absolutely fantastic, she was so kind and courteous and her English is perfect. She researched the procedure I was getting and she was so patient and caring and helpful throughout the procedure. I would have no hesitation in recommending Eleonora.”

As a medical translator specializing in written translation, in 2022 I was hired as an in-house translator in Milan by PSI CRO, a well-known international CRO (Contract Research Organization), where I handled daily English-to-Italian medical translation assignments for all documentation related to clinical trials.

This experience allowed me to refine my translation and subject-matter expertise in the fields of medicine and pharmacology, thanks in part to reviews by subject matter experts.

This is just a brief excerpt from my reference letter written by my former boss, Yuri Skrelin, available as a PDF upon request:

“I can praise Ms. Monoscalco for exceptionally high and steady productivity, diligence, meticulousness, and punctuality. An excellent medical translator, she quickly mastered industry- and company-specific knowledge, terminology, and tools and delivered impeccable translations, often under strict time constraints. Her expertise and friendly manner earned her respect, trust, and appreciation among coworkers”.
