SERVICES
Simultaneous interpreting
I interpret the speaker’s words into the audience’s language and the audience’s interventions into the speaker’s language simultaneously.
I work remotely or from a booth at the venue where the event takes place. Alternatively, I can use a bidule system provided by the client.
Remote interpreting
I interpret the speaker’s words into the audience’s language simultaneously or aid communication between event participants by translating consecutively. I work from an isolated environment, using professional headphones and microphone, and a back-up connection.
I am an Ablio platform-certified interpreter (remote simultaneous, consecutive and telephone interpreting) and a KUDO PRO interpreter (remote simultaneous interpreting). I also have experience interpreting over Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and will happily adapt to your preferred platform.
Consecutive interpreting
I help you communicate with foreign language speakers by taking notes and translating everything once the speaker has finished speaking. Consecutive interpreting is the perfect format for interviews or professional workshops.
Liaison/business interpreting
I help you communicate with foreign language speakers by translating what you say into their language and vice-versa. This type of interpreting is perfect for a trade show or business meeting, as well as for doctor’s appointments or a meeting at a public services office.

TESTIMONIALS
“Eleonora is a consummate professional. She is extremely responsible, passionate and dedicated to her work, and has extraordinary interpreting skills. You can see the command she has not only of languages, but also of the topics she deals with (including in my area of expertise: psychological health in general and contextual therapies). I have seen her interpret at interviews, debates and presentations on psychological health and it was fascinating.”
“Eleonora has been working as an interpreter for Ítaca Formación for the last two years, providing her services for more than 20 days at a variety of post-graduate training courses. She has interpreted from English into Spanish complex and very specific interventions in areas such as psychosis, behavioral therapy, contextual therapy, etc. The quality of her work is the reason why we are currently still relying on her services at various training courses.”
“It was a pleasure to work with Eleonora thanks to her excellent communication and her professionalism throughout. She was always willing to get involved in the project and to provide the best solutions to our needs. In our case, she provided an excellent consecutive interpreting service for a technical training session, demonstrating great proficiency in the relevant languages. She is, without a doubt, an outstanding interpreter. Highly recommended.”
“I can assure you that Eleonora is a very good professional and always willing to help, besides being a very pleasant person. I had the pleasure of working with her at the MARMOMAC 2023 fair in Verona where she worked as an Italian<>Spanish interpreter for several Spanish companies that I represented, and I was very satisfied with her work.”
“Eleonora is highly reliable and pays a lot of attention to details. Moreover, she demonstrates a high-ethic of work and great sense of responsibility. She has outstanding skills in terms of simultaneous and written translations which she proved on many occasions dealing with interpretation of training courses and study visits for our international trainees coming to Spain from all over Europe. I was also really impressed by her flexibility and readiness to go an extra mile.”
“I met Eleonora at the TUTTOFOOD fair in Milan. She worked at my company’s stand and immediately stood out for her professionalism and kindness. She is a very skilled professional who can assist in any conversation in English and Spanish in a remarkable way. It was a real pleasure working with her. Highly recommended!”
“Eleonora has been very easy and professional to work with. She always respects all deadlines and is available to assist my team and I. I worked with her to translate various copywriting and digital marketing content from English to Italian and will definitely continue to work with her! Highly recommended.”
”Eleonora is deeply passionate about her job, and you can easily see that. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with her and, if I needed an interpreter, I would definitely call on her services again. Dedication, commitment and professionalism are only some of her virtues. Thank you for everything.”
”I took part in the Rimini Ecomondo fair on behalf of my company. Eleonora Monoscalco worked for us as an interpreter and we were very happy with her services. Eleonora is very professional, patient and responsible. Without her help, we wouldn’t have been able to achieve our goals at an event that was extremely important for us.”
“Eleonora works with passion and total dedication. We always interpret together in the English<>Spanish combination and she is the booth-mate everyone dreams of. She is always available to help colleagues and to act as a liaison with speakers and organizers. She would be a welcome addition to any interpreting team.”
“I had the pleasure to work with Eleonora at Concorto Film Festival in 2017. Her professionalism, thorough approach to the job, and her politeness were noticed and appreciated not only by staff members such as myself, but also by the festival audience. She provided invaluable support also during workshops, which were held by American filmmakers and attended by many non-English speakers. I strongly recommend Eleonora’s services to anyone needing a professional interpreting service.”
”I’ve known Eleonora Monoscalco since the academic year 2016-2017 when she enrolled in the 2-year MA Program in Interpreting which I coordinate. She has been my student on the course of simultaneous and consecutive interpreting from Spanish into Italian where I could appreciate her commitment and dedication. She has been an excellent student and a very reliable and sociable person.”
“Eleonora Monoscalco was a student of mine during the academic year 2014-2018 at the Interpreters School of the University of Bologna, Italy. Eleonora was a very keen and attentive student who made enormous progress during the year. Eleonora attended my classes from Italian into English and passed my exam (Conference Interpreting Technique, 2nd year) with a good mark. I have no doubt that Eleonora will be an extremely helpful and professional addition to your staff.”
“I highly recommend Eleonora’s translations. I came across her work because I needed to translate an official document from Italian into Spanish, and I was very happy with the result. Eleonora did a high quality translation and was very fast. I thank her for her attention, professionalism and good service.“
PORTFOLIO
ABOUT ME
I was born in 1993 in a small town in Lazio (Italy). From the beginning, I knew life would take me far from my hometown.
I have always been passionate about foreign languages and cultures, and studied these subjects with tenacity and dedication in order to realize my dream of being admitted to one of the top Italian universities for Interpreting and Translation (Forlì/Bologna), and becoming an interpreter.
After spending a year at Bath University (UK) as an Erasmus student and gaining my MA in Conference Interpreting from Forlì/Bologna University, I moved to Spain to work for EuroMind Projects S.L. as an interpreter, translator and project assistant.
In September 2019, I moved to Milan (Italy) to study for a specialist MA in Medicine and Pharmacology for Interpreters and Translators offered by CTI Communication Trend Italia, after being awarded a scholarship. They chose me as one of their best students for that academic year. Later, I further added to my knowledge of specialist subjects by completing a Medical/Pharmaceutical Translation and Revision internship at CTI, and working as a part-time in-house translator at Freeda Media (Milan), where I translated feminist and LGBTQIAP+-related content in Italian, English and Spanish on a daily basis. Last but not least, in 2022, I honed my skills in medicine and pharmacology by working part-time as an in-house translator for a well-known CRO (contract research organization) in Milan. There, I translated and proofread clinical trial documents from English into Italian and vice-versa daily.
Finally, whenever I can, I attend new courses and webinars to ensure that I am always up to date. Just a few examples of my continuing professional development include the specialist course in Legal and Commercial Translation offered by SSIT Pescara, the webinars on SEO, localization and copywriting by Translastars, and the “Innovation in Interpreting” summit by techforword.
Throughout my career, I have interpreted at conferences, lectures, meetings, congresses, trade fairs, interviews, workshops, festivals, business meetings, debates, weddings, doctor/patient interactions, and other public and private events.
Thanks to my well-developed ad hoc terminology and knowledge-preparation, I have had the opportunity to work in different fields including sustainable development, new technologies, psychology and gastronomy. I believe my added values as an interpreter are my enthusiasm and willingness to continue learning, gaining new skills and updating current ones. This drive means I always go the extra mile and prepare in advance, down to the smallest detail.
I have lived in Milan since 2019, where I work as a freelance interpreter with agencies, companies and private clients. I am available to interpret both face-to-face and remotely. I am an Ablio-certified interpreter (remote simultaneous, consecutive, and telephone interpreting), as well as a KUDO PRO interpreter (remote simultaneous interpreting), and I have the necessary equipment to provide high-quality services. Although I work mainly in Milan and Lombardy, I occasionally travel and carry out assignments within Italy and abroad. More specifically, I have interpreted in Veneto (Venice and Verona), Piedmont (provinces of Turin and Biella), Emilia Romagna (Bologna), Germany (Cologne) and Malta.
Outside of work, I am a very dynamic person. Besides languages and interpreting, my interests range from Spanish music to photography. In my free time I enjoy participating in language exchanges, studying psychology and going out for a meal or a pizza with my family and friends. Finally, I am a huge fan of technology, because it allows me to practice languages and meet new people. You can find my profile on the websites of international groups (such as Translators in Italy and International Women of Milan), as well as on Conversation Exchange and BlablaCar, on which I boast a 5/5 rating achieved by interacting with people of different nationalities and backgrounds, aged 20-70.
