ITALIAN-TO-SPANISH INTERPRETER IN MILAN
Do you need a Spanish-to-Italian interpreter in Milan, another location or for a remote event? By orally translating between two languages, an interpreter can help you break down linguistic and cultural barriers, facilitating communication between attendees.
When all attendees can effortlessly make and listen to speeches in their mother tongue, everyone can participate equally and get the most from your event.
I’m Eleonora Monoscalco, an experienced Italian-to-Spanish interpreter based in Milan with over thirty verifiable positive reviews.

What types of Spanish interpreting services do you offer?
I am a very flexible professional. Depending on your needs, you can choose from the following services:
- Italian-to-Spanish simultaneous interpreting. I’ll translate the speaker’s words into Italian and the audience’s interventions into English as they speak. If your event is longer than one hour (sixty minutes), I’ll work with a trusted colleague to guarantee the highest quality service. Find out more.
- Spanish-to-Italian consecutive interpreting. I’ll take notes and translate everything the speaker says into Spanish once they’ve finished speaking (at intervals of about three to four minutes). I’ll then translate your interlocutor’s reply into Italian. Find out more.
- Italian-to-Spanish liaison interpreting. I translate what you say into Spanish and vice-versa. From trade shows and business meetings to doctor’s appointments and public service meetings, this service will ensure everything goes smoothly. Find out more.
- Italian-to-Spanish chuchotage (whispered interpreting). I simultaneously translate what the speaker says by “whispering” the translation directly into your ear. This is more cost-effective than simultaneous interpreting and is carried out for one person or a very small group.
- Spanish-to-Italian remote interpreting. I interpret the speaker’s words into Spanish or Italian simultaneously for the audience. If the speakers don’t speak each other’s language, I’ll translate consecutively. I’m KUDO PRO and Ablio platform-certified and offer simultaneous, consecutive and telephone interpreting remotely. I don’t have a one-size-fits-all rate. My rates are based on the type of event you’re organizing, the language combination, the number of participants, which interpreting service you require, the location and time of your event, necessary equipment and more.

Which event have you enjoyed most as a Spanish interpreter?
All my clients and assignments are special to me. However, if I had to choose, one highlight was Visit Quito’s presentation to Italian tour operators in Rome (2024). Another was the Spanish Tourism Office’s presentation of Spanish UNESCO Heritage Cities in Milan (2023). My favorite trade fair as an Italian-to-Spanish interpreter was the Cibus agri-food exhibition in Parma.
Where did you learn Spanish and Italian?
Italian is my native language, so I learnt it from the cradle, and I have been perfecting it throughout my studies, from primary school to university.
I started learning Spanish when I was just nine years old, but I started studying it seriously when I attended high school, at age sixteen. From there, I never stopped honing it. I attended a three-year undergraduate degree course in Linguistic and Intercultural Mediation in Rome, and then a Master’s degree course in Conference Interpreting at Forlì/Bologna University, graduating in 2018.
In addition to formal studies, I learnt Spanish through trips to Spain, listening to podcasts and TV programs, reading books and articles in the original language, and regular Skype sessions with native Spanish speakers (from Spain and Latin America).
Another pivotal experience was my Erasmus+ semester in Seville in 2019, during which I carried out my first English-Spanish interpreting and translation assignments, and had many useful linguistic and cultural experiences – participating in several language exchanges, spending holidays with Spanish families in Cordoba and Malaga, getting to know people from Spain and Latin America as friends, and working as a volunteer cashier for Oxfam.
Although now I live in Italy, I still speak Spanish daily with my native-speaker partner, and take part in regular linguistic and cultural exchanges (in Milan and elsewhere) with people from Spain and Latin America.
