Which event have you enjoyed most as an English-to-Spanish interpreter?

All my clients and assignments are special to me. If I had to choose a series of events, I’d say the master’s degree for psychologists in Third Generation Therapies and each edition of the Ibero-American Congress of Contextual Behavioral Science by Contacto Contextual. If I had to mention two single events, the first would be Engrama’s interview with Noam Chomsky (2021), during which I led the English<>Spanish consecutive translation. Secondly, I have to mention the Ukraine Peace Conference in Malta in 2023, where I delivered English-to-Spanish simultaneous translation.

What types of English-to-Spanish interpreting services do you offer?

I am a very flexible professional. Depending on your needs, you can choose from the following services:

• English-to-Spanish simultaneous interpreting: I’ll simultaneously translate the speaker’s words into the audience’s language and the audience’s interventions into the speaker’s language. I work remotely or from a booth at the venue where the event takes place. Alternatively, I can use my own system of 30 transmitter radios or rent even more radios from my trusted suppliers at competitive prices.

• English-to-Spanish consecutive interpreting: I’ll take notes and translate everything the speaker says into Spanish once they’ve finished speaking (at intervals of about 2 to 3 minutes). I’ll then translate your interlocutor’s reply into English. 

• English-to-Spanish liaison interpreting: I translate what you say into Spanish and vice-versa. From trade shows and business meetings to doctor’s appointments and public service meetings, this service will ensure everything goes smoothly.

• English-to-Spanish chuchotage (whispered interpreting). I simultaneously translate what the speaker says by “whispering” the translation directly into your ear. This is a more cost-effective solution compared to simultaneous interpreting, and is carried out for just one person or a very small group of people.

• English-to-Spanish remote interpreting:  I simultaneously interpret the speaker’s words into the audience’s language to aid communication between event participants. Working from an isolated environment, I use professional headphones, a microphone, and back-up connection. The platform I use most often is Zoom Pro, but I will happily adapt to your preferred platform. I am also an accredited remote interpreter on the Ablio and KUDO platforms.
