About me \u2013 My professional background<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>
\u00a0<\/div>

I\u2019m Eleonora Monoscalco<\/strong> \u2013 a professional Italian interpreter and translator based in Milan<\/strong>.\u00a0I was born in 1993 in a small town in Lazio (Italy). From the beginning, I knew life would take me far from my hometown.<\/p>

I have always been passionate about foreign languages and cultures, and studied these subjects with tenacity and dedication in order to realize my dream of being admitted to one of the top Italian universities for Interpreting and Translation (Forl\u00ec\/Bologna), and becoming an interpreter.<\/p>

After spending a year at Bath University (UK)<\/strong><\/a> as an Erasmus student and gaining my MA in Conference Interpreting from Forl\u00ec\/Bologna University<\/strong>, I moved to Spain to work as an interpreter, translator and project assistant.<\/p>

About me \u2013 <\/strong><\/span>My education and Continuous Professional Development (CPD)<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>

In September 2019, I moved back to Italy to start offering my interpreting services and to attend a specialist <\/span>MA course in Medicine and Pharmacology for Interpreters<\/strong> and Translators<\/strong>, offered by CTI Communication, after being awarded a scholarship. They chose me as one of their best students for that academic year.<\/span><\/p>

Later, I further added to my knowledge of specialist subjects by completing a Medical\/Pharmaceutical Translation and Revision internship at CTI, and working as a part-time in-house translator at <\/span>Freeda Media<\/strong>, where I translated feminist and LGBTQIAP+-related content in Italian, English and Spanish on a daily basis.<\/span><\/p>

Last but not least, in 2022, I honed my skills in medicine and pharmacology by working part-time as an <\/span>in-house translator<\/strong> for a well-known <\/span>CRO (contract research organization) <\/strong>in Milan. There, I translated and proofread clinical trial documents from English into Italian and vice-versa daily.<\/span><\/p>

Finally, whenever I can, I attend new courses and webinars to ensure that I am always up to date. Just a few examples of my continuing professional development include the specialist course in Legal and Commercial Translation<\/strong> offered by SSIT Pescara, the webinars on SEO translation, localization and copywriting<\/strong> by Translastars, and the webinars on personal branding<\/strong> and on the latest technologies in the field of interpreting<\/strong> by techforword.<\/p>

About me \u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>My career as an interpreter and a translator in Milan, Italy and worldwide<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/h2>

Throughout my career I have offered interpreting services <\/strong>at conferences, lectures, meetings, congresses and conventions, trade fairs, interviews and workshops, festivals, business meetings, debates, tours, doctor-patient interactions, and other public\/private events.<\/p>

Thanks to my well-developed, customized terminology and thorough preparation, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of fields<\/strong>: from photography to new technologies, from psychology to food and wine, etc. I believe my added values<\/strong> as an interpreter (and as a person) are my passion for my job, my willingness to never stop learning and my empathy towards other people and animals.<\/p>

I have lived in Milan<\/strong> since 2019, where I work as an English, Spanish, and Italian interpreter<\/strong> with agencies, companies and private clients. I am available to interpret both face-to-face and remotely. I am an Ablio and KUDO PRO remote certified interpreter<\/strong>, and I have the necessary equipment to provide high-quality remote interpreting services.<\/p>

During my career as an interpreter, I have interpreted for several top-level clients, including the United Nations, <\/strong>the Ukraine Peace Formula Talks, Don Perignon, Zegna, Dior, the Wyoming Business Council<\/strong>, the Italian region of Lombardy<\/strong>, European Union<\/strong> agencies, the Spanish region of Castile and Le\u00f3n, the Bergamo Chamber of Commerce, Heineken, Campari Group, the Polytechnic University of Milan, the Association for Nursing in Milan, the Argentine Consulate General in Milan, Feltrinelli Foundation, Moroccanoil, Sammontana, Amazon, Tour Espa\u00f1a, Visit Quito and Paradores de Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>

The trade fairs<\/strong> where I have worked as an interpreter include Tuttofood (Milan), Salone del Mobile\/EuroCucina (Milan), Marmomac (Verona), Cibus (Parma), CPHI Worldwide (Milan), BIT (Milan), MIDO Eyewear Show (Milan), Tanexpo (Bologna), Rimini Wellness, Ecomondo (Rimini), Sigep (Rimini), International Dental Show (Cologne, Germany) and CaseItaly (Bergamo).<\/p>

Although I work mainly in Milan and Lombardy<\/strong>, I occasionally travel and carry out assignments within Italy and abroad<\/strong>. More specifically, I regularly work in Rome, Verona, Bologna, Malta and Spain.<\/p>

As a translator, I had the privilege of carrying out the English-Spanish translation of the book on psychology entitled \u201cHealing the Fractured Mind<\/a>\u201d<\/strong> by renowned psychiatrist and psychotherapist Felicity de Zulueta, in collaboration with Spanish publishing house Psim\u00e1tica Editorial.<\/p>

My deep passion for my profession has led me to become involved in training the next generation of interpreters and translators. For this reason, in the 2025\u20132026 academic year, I began my career as a university lecturer<\/strong>, teaching four hours per week for the Spanish-Italian Translation I and II and Spanish Language I courses, in collaboration with the LIMEC SSML University <\/strong>in Milan.<\/p>

After passing a peer-reviewed conference interpreting competency exam, I became a\u00a0Qualified Member of the Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters (AITI)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0who issued me\u00a0an attestation of professional quality<\/strong> pursuant to Italian Law No.4\/2013.<\/p>

I am also a Qualified Member of ANITI<\/strong><\/a> (The Italian National Association of Translators and Interpreters), which provides, among other benefits, Professional Civil Liability insurance<\/strong> coverage.<\/p>

Some personal information<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>

Outside of work, I am a very dynamic person. Besides languages and interpreting, my interests<\/strong> range from animal advocacy to photography. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading psychology articles, volunteering at animal shelters<\/strong>, listening to Spanish music, and savoring a good pizza.<\/p>
